No Excuse Monday Spay/Neuter Clinics: a weekly Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic.
In a joint effort between Animal Rescue Merrimack Valley (ARMV) and the Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL), low income Merrimack Valley residents now have access to the first weekly low-cost spay/neuter clinic north of Boston called the "No Excuse Monday Clinics." The clinic is funded by Foundation M, the Yvon Cormier Foundation and the Massachusetts Animal Coalition (MAC) which is funded by the spay/neuter license plate. The cost to the pet owner is based on a sliding scale. A suggested donation is $75 per cat. However, there is funding for those that cannot afford the fee.

An ongoing low cost spay/neuter program for people needing help getting their cats altered. Vet visits are held each Wednesday by appointment only. The appointment includes a combo test for FIV and FeLV, a distemper and rabies (if old enough) vaccination, a spay or neuter, nail trim and a physical exam. If medication is needed for fleas, earmites, or infections requiring antibiotics, there is an extra charge. This program uses a certified veterinarian who provides her services at a discounted rate.
